Shortlisted for a RITA award...
April 5th, 2015
The Gentleman Rogue has been announced as one of six books on the shortlist for the 2015 RITA award in the Historical Romance: Short category! The RITAs are the highest award of distinction in romantic fiction given by the Romance Writers of America association, and recognise excellence in published romance novels and novellas. I can't believe it!!!
The other books in the category are: The Bells of Times Square by Amy Lane, The Cowboy's Reluctant Bride by Debra Cowan, Darling Beast by Elizabeth Hoyt, In Bed with a Rogue by Samantha Grace, and Romancing the Duke by Tessa Dare.
Dear Reader
February and March were really exciting months! I was delighted and honoured in February when The Gentleman Rogue was announced as a finalist for the prestigious RoNA Rose Award and on March 16th when I got to attend the glitzy award ceremony in the beautiful and historic One Whitehall Place, London.

The venue, complete with huge crystal drop chandeliers and walls lined with leather bound books, was a dream setting for a Regency romance writer! Barbara Taylor Bradford presented the awards before a room packed with romance writers of all sub genres. A great time was had by all. Many congratulations to fellow HM&B author Louise Allen who won the RoNA Rose with her book Scandal's Virgin.
On March 26th I was sitting quietly engrossed in writing when I received a wonderful surprise phone call from the RWA in America to tell me that The Gentleman Rogue is a RITA finalist in the short historical romance category!

ANOTHER CHANCE TO READ 'THE WICKED EARL' AS IT IS REPUBLISHED AS 'LUCIEN TREGELLAS'
Needless to say, I didn't get much writing done after the call with all the excitement! It really feels an honour and a privilege to be included in the shortlist.
Now, the clocks have gone forward an hour for British Summer Time and the days are growing longer, we are into April and the start of spring, and it's back to a quiet life and writing what will probably be the final book in my GENTLEMEN OF DISREPUTE series.
As ever, if you have any questions or comments please do email me. I always enjoy hearing from readers.
Warmest wishes
Margaret x
